About Sona

Sona Eyambe, an American rapper, music producer, actor, and parkour athlete, has made a name for himself in Taiwan. From 2014 to 2015, he served as the first Music Director for the W Hotel in Taipei, showcasing his unique musical vision. In 2016, he ventured into acting, starring in the Hollywood film "Officer Downe," performing all his own stunts and acting in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and Japanese, demonstrating his versatility.

Since 2021, Sona has been dedicated to promoting Taiwanese music. He partnered with Sanlih E-Television-MTV and Kung Fu Entertainment to organize the "Mother Tongue Competition," encouraging Taiwanese artists to create rap songs in their native languages, with a NT$100,000 prize awarded to the winner the following year. That same year, he became a brand ambassador for Lululemon, leading parkour camps and workshops, DJing at brand events, and curating Spotify playlists for Lululemon's Asia Pacific FEEL CHARGE campaign, blending sports and music.

In 2023, Sona became the first American and non-native Taiwanese to host a Presidential Office concert, even filming a promotional video with President Tsai Ing-wen, highlighting his influence in Taiwanese society. The following year, he became the host of MTV's "The Rappers 2," the first American to bilingually host a Taiwanese variety show, which was nominated for five Golden Bell Awards in 2024, including Best Variety Show.

In addition to hosting, Sona continues to create music, remixing for artists like Celine Dion, Dwagie, Namewee, BG8locc, and releasing numerous dance singles. He also produces commercial music for various brands, showcasing his talent in music production. Furthermore, Sona shares his musical experiences, Western perspectives, and social commentary through his YouTube channels "Good Moto" and "The Bee Box Channel," accumulating over 80 million views and 600,000 subscribers.

With his unique cross-cultural background and diverse talents, Lockna is active in Taiwan's music, film, and sports scenes, bringing new creativity and energy to the island.
